Sun in HAlpha With Lunt LS100THa Uploaded 12/19/21 Daily Report For Sunday, December 19th, 2021
 Quite a few sunspot groups finally! Seeing was so bad yesterday with a high pressure front moving in, I had to shut down. Today, seeing is a bit better, but still pretty shaky. But I did capture a flare in action...

 Halpha:

Lets start with the full disk. Plenty of action here!

 

The proms only view however showed very little.

Sunspot on right started flaring and lasted about two minutes. I captured it in one image below!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Flaring sunspot! that is the bright white area. The disk is dim here to not blow out the flare too much.

 

 

Finally, look at the active area in the Red Wing of Halpha. This is 3/4 A off band. Shows the material from the flare moving away quickly from the spot group.
