Sun in CaK With Williams Optics Zenithstar 81 + Lunt CaK filter Uploaded 9/1/24 Daily Report For Monday, September 1, 2024

On Sunday September 1st, as the Sun rose in the east, fabulous post flare loops (Arcadia Loops) was seen on the limb of the Sun. Fortunately, this really rare event was easily visible in the Calcium K filter I was using. It is very uncommon to image proms and loops like this in Calcium light because they are so much fainter than Halpha, so this shot will be unique. A full disk and a 3x barlow shot is included for complete coverage. This could be the only shot you get at this wavelength.
