Assembling the stair pieces for fit in the driveway. The steps are 2x10s and assembled to standard dimensions. The ridge boards were hand cut with a circular saw for an 8 inch rise and 9 inch horizontal step. Hand rails were test fit and will be assembled on site. The whole affair was next loaded in to the trailer for the hour long trip to the cabin.

The finished stair way to the stars! I dragged the 200 pound staircase through hundreds of feet of woods, and secured it in place with steel angle brackets. The hand rails were connected next, and the whole affair is held together with 3 inch galvanized screws. A coating of the polyurethane with the redwood color finished it just in time for the monsoon storm clouds to make their appearance.
