IC4592- Nu Scorpii Nebula in Scorpius
Orion 8" f/4 Astrograph
Uploaded 6/7/19
There can be no
doubt that Scorpius is one of the most dust laden regions in
the sky. Brimming with both reflection and dark nebula, this
region is an imagers delight - and never ceases to offer unique
targets for astro imaging!
Here, the blue reflection
nebula IC4592 is illuminated by the hot blue star Nu Scorpii
in the center. Dust is the composition, and scattering from this
dust of the reflected starlight is the blue coloration.
