NGC6231 Brilliant Open Cluster in Scorpius Orion 8" f/4 Astrograph

 This cluster in the very southernmost reaches of the constellation of Scorpius is one of the most stunning objects of its type in the entire sky. Nested in a rich Milky Way star field filled with dark nebula and bright wisps of emission as well. This cluster has the informal name "The christmas tree cluster" because of its shape.
