The Coathanger Star Cluster - C399 in Cygnus
Orion 8" f/4 Astrograph
Uploaded
10/5/16
A
favorite asterism, this very loose cluster makes a perfect imaging
target for wide field systems. Set in a very rich Milkyway field,
the collection of both golden and blue stars set against a spray
of fine diamond dust is unforgettable. This shot is 15 minutes
total exposure with the 8" f/3.9 under a very dark sky. |
