Payson Aurora
October 7, 2024

Finally the Kp index hit 7.3 and the Bz was negative - a good chance for some sort of auroral activity to the north. This shot taken from our second story balcony is looking north with an 8mm f/3.5 fish eye lens, Canon Xti at ISO800. The storm started around 10pm or so, and lasted until about 1am where it faded out. It was seen visually as a dull red glow, and was spread out over a large portion of the northern sky.
