Payson Aurora

Uploaded 1/2/25

A dual solar flare earlier in the week let loose two CME towards the Earth, the first one hit on the 1st early in the day and resulted in a kp of around 6, the second impact was the following morning and was closer to 7, with a final Kp of 8 later in the day. The Aurora cam was run all night long, and for an hour near morning a red glow was recorded on the norther horizon. Furthur north in Colorado, they saw SAR arcs but we did not have that. This aurora was extensive, and was seen all the way down to near Mexico city!
