Planet in Aquarius

Uploaded 7/13/03

As Mars nears opposition in August, a few frames taken now will still show considerable detail for those lucky enough to have good seeing and clear skies. At 15 arcseconds, it is about half the size it will be in August. The LEFT image is the best series of frames taken over several hours on a night of the best seeing we get, mediocre. Right is the same image after processing using wavelet deconvolution.
