Daytime Astrophotography Page

Astroimages with the Sun above the horizon

Updated 6/27/07

Daytime gave me a good opportunity to try out my brand new Schuler UV filter. Obviously the original was very deeply colored with strange bluish tint because the filter ONLY passes light that is completely out of the web cams passband. So it represents it with a peculiar shade. Here, converted to black and white for clarity, some dim shadings, especially on the bottom can be seen and a very bright rim. I have more work to do with this filter for sure, but its a beginning.
