The sun was
utterly spotless today, yet in Halpha light we can see some faint
dark filaments on the disk, and some beautiful arching prominences
on the limb. Seeing was very good, and allowed a crisp image.
Processing: Extracted
disk from green channel, prominences from red channel, and averaged
2 to8 images. Disk: Applied midtone curve adjustment in PS, then
wavlet deconvolution, and dynamic background flattening process
in Pix Insight. Combined and colorized disk and prominence image
in Photoshop per accepted standard coloration creteria.
