Comet Panstarrs C/2011 L4
Emerging comet in Western sky at sunset

On
this evening the comet had gained some elevation in the bright
western twilight, and was parked next to a 24 hour old moon.
Many imagers had a field day with this composition! You only
really had about 15 minutes of shooting for best results. I was
set up on a hill across from the Payson Airport with a good view
of the western sky. Several other sky gazers also found this
hill and we watched the comet together. Lots of fun! |
