Comet C/2025 Swan R2
in the evening sunset sky
10/2/25

Just now emerging from the sunset twilight sky, this new comet has been heavily imaged from the southern hemisphere, and is now heading northward to make its showing in our skies. Just 5.5 magnitude, it is difficult to get a clear shot so immersed in the bright sunset sky, but here I was able to get 13 good frames with the comet about 5-10 degrees up in the south west. Hoping it will be better in a week when It passes Earth and gains about half a magnitude.
