Comet Pons/Brooks
in the evening sky
2/4/24

Now 8.9 magnitude and very low in the north western sky in between Cygnus and Pegasus, this comet will brighten significantly over the next few months. Allready showing a nice ray type tail, the comets greenish head and starlike nucleus is also seen well here. This is the first comet imaged with the new 8 inch RASA at a remote location down the street to be able to see this low in the sky.
