Comet Kushida in the Hayades
in the evening sky
2/4/24

This week I have a brand new special image to share with you, a huge six part mosaic of the Hayades star cluster with the beautiful teal green colored comet Kushida passing through. I started just imaging the comet field only, but then decieded on the fly to just keep going and get the whole cluster too. The hard work paid off, and I was able to record the entire Hayades "V" cluster with the comet passing by in one very deep image. For me, the rich assemblage of golden and blue supergiant stars really compliments the comet nicely. Tech data: 8" f/2 RASA, ASI071mc CMOS, 90mins total for mosiac, Payson Arizona.
