September 26, 2023

This 10th magnitude comet is in Auriga, and rides high at 3am on September mornings. Its the brightest comet in the sky at this point that is easily visible, and is going to brighten over the next month. On this morning it was closest to Earth, and sported a very short stubby tail and a cyan colored coma.
