Comet Tsuchinshan1 in Virgo
in the evening sky

Now
at 8th magnitude in the stars of Virgo, this comet is now fading
as it receeds. Two beautiful barred spirals are in the same field,
both near twins. NGC4608 is on the left and is 12.6th magnitude,
and to the right is NGC4596 which is mag 12.4. The brilliant
blue star on the left side is rho virginis. |
