Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
in the evening sky
10/20/24
With
the comet fading fast, this could be one of my last shots of
this celestial visitor. Here, I traveled once again to a site
20 minutes north of Payson where we have a low western skyline.
This is a four panel panorama, each panel with the Samyang 135mm
f/2.4 lens and ASI2600 MC camera and UV/IR blocking filter. Each
panel was 25x30seconds, and total exposure time for all four
panels was 50 minutes. This is the first time we have seen the
comet post perihelion in a dark sky. |
