Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
in the evening sky
7/2/24

Currently near 10th magnitude, Comet TA is rapidly getting lower in the western sky at dusk and soon will be in conjuction with the Sun. This is the last shot I am going to take of this comet until after perihelion in September when it is going to be much brighter low in the morning twilight. Here, the comet was about 15 degrees up just below Leo and shows a curved dust tail about a degree long with a slight greenish tint to the innermost coma.
