Comet C/2025 Swan R2
in the evening sky
11/10/25

Fading fast, the comet now sports both a dusty ray like tail (pointing to lower left) and an Anti-tail (pointing left). This dusty comet still also retains its blue/green hue in its gassy coma and is roughly 8th magnitude - barely visible in binoculars. This is an LRGB image. This was done in a very pecuilar way. The L channel was with the RASA 11 inch and a monochrom camera. The RGB data was taken with a Samyang 135mm context camera and so was really poorly matched to obtain color data from for the L image. But it worked fine!
