Comet Panstarrs T2
in the evening sky
May 24, 2020
This
8th magnitude object in Ursa Major had just past its orbital
plane crossing a few days earlier, and on this night made a magnificent
composition with the bright triplet of galaxies M81, M82, and
to the right the large diffuse galaxy IC2574. You can also see
the yellowish background nebulosity of the "Integrated Flux
Nebula" or more commonly called "The Galactic Cirrus"
in the background. This shot was taken with our Sigma 150mm f/2.8
macro lens wide open and has consistently produced razor sharp
images to the edges of the frame. |
