Comet Panstarrs S3 in Cygnus
in the morning sky
4/29/24

Here is a diaphanous ray of light from the Comet Panstarrs S3 draped over the wing of a butterfly, IC1318a in Cygnus. Such a justaposition is quite rare, and always challenging to get a clear image. This shot, taken on April 29th shows the 11th magnitude comet on its way out of the inner solar system. Technical Data: 10" f/2.8 GSO astrograph, Atik 16200 CCD, 3 hours total integration time, Payson, Az on 4/29/24
