Comet C/2025 Lemmon A6
in the morning sky
9/30/25

With the Arizona monsoon finally drawing to a close, this 7th magnitude comet seen early in the morning sky before sunrise is finally starting to give us a good showing. While I did look visually and saw just a faint round diffuse glow with the 60mm guide scope with a 32mm eyepiece in it, the camera saw far more. The teal colored head is followed by a broad short yellow dust tail, and finally a long blue/white streak from the gas tail.

The comet will peak in brightness over the next few weeks however it will be getting lower nearer to the Sun.
