Triple
Planetary Conjunction
In
the Western sky at sunset
Uploaded 5/27/13
A rare sight in the western
sky last night - the perfect triangular alignment of three planets.
Here we have Venus at the bottom, Jupiter to the upper left,
and Mercury to the upper right of Venus. All could be fit in
the 9x63 binocular field which is barely 4 degrees wide. Here
are a few shots with the Canon 10D from a location down the street
with a clear view on a hill top. |
