The Kp index rose again, in
round two of yesterdays impact event. On this night, the Kp was
8, very high still indeed. Thick smoke from California forest
fires darken the lower part of these images, taken looking over
the south rim of the Colorado Plateau - the Mogollon Rim. Visually,
the red tint was seen faintly in the north, no comparison to the
morning before. Images are 5 to 10 minute exposures, with the
Pentax K1000, Supra 400 with a 28mm f/2.8 lens.
