Here is a complete mosaic of the individual images presented so far. From the horizon tree tops to very nearly at the zenith - straight up at the top of the field, this span of sky is the best the southern Milkyway has to offer. Scorpius, which was strait up is just out of the frame at the top. Since this image was 90mb, and greatly reduced to display here, much of the fine detail is lost, however the large dark nebula and emission clouds are clearly shown in their relative spread. Instrument: 50mm f/2.8 Pentax Super Taukamar Lens Exposures: 5 mins each - 3 frames total Scanner: Nikon LS2000 Platform: Bogen Camera Tripod, ETX90c Film: PJ400 Location: Queensland Australia Processing: Photoshop, PW Pro.
