NGC7000

Emission Complex in Cygnus

First Light image with new observatory

Uploaded 11/7/02

This is the first guided image taken at the new observatory in Happy Jack. The transparency was very good, and skies exceptionally dark that night. It is hand guided because the mount is not quite ready yet for the ST4 Autoguider. PJ400 has amazing red sensitivity. Now available as LE400 by special order, it works quite well at this focal ratio on red nebula. The two 8 minute exposures were combined by inverting and multiply in photoshop.
