Located just above the "spout" star (Gamma) in the the "Teapot" of Sagittarius, this region was discovered by Baade to be a clear hole in the dust laden core of the galaxy in which we can see the star clouds beyond. NGC6520 and the dark globule Barnard 86 are at the top of the frame, with numerous other dark nebula across the field. The entire right side of the field is obscured by a huge dust cloud, with a difficult to identify red nebula on the right edge. This image is very rich in detail, and I recomend at least the 1200 resolution for viewing.
