The Southern Skies Setting

over the Ocean - II

Uploaded 8/19/02

This view, the same as my first image is without me in it, and shows the nearly stationary sigma Octans to the left, the south polar star and the Crux-Carina area to the right in the southern Milkyway. The scene is over the beach at low tide and finding a suitable surface for the tripod was a mushy proposition.
