The easternmost of a chain of three bright galaxies in the Dragon, and by far the most interesting. This 11.9 magnitude spiral is classed Sb, and displays a prominent yellow core surrounded by bluish white luminous arms. Few HII regions are seen, being at the 2 arcsecond size and smaller limit. There is an anonymous 16th magnitude galaxy on the right side of the field. Also note the "plumes" extending downward from the lower spiral arm. Processing: DDP, RL Deconvolution.
