This beautiful pair of reflection nebula flank the east side of IC434, the red nebulous strip that contains the more famous Horsehead Nebula which appears as a gradual reddening on the right side of the image. The left object, IC435 surrounds an 8.3 magnitude B5 star and is primarily blue wisps. On the right is the much larger NGC2023 which surrounds a slightly brighter 7.8 magnitude B1 star, and is a a mixture of mostly blue reflection with a bit of red and green nebulosity mixed.
