CR26 & IC1805

Nebulous Star Cluster in Cassiopeia

Uploaded 10/31/02

The association of two deep sky objects in one field is always a treat, in this instance a loose splashy open cluster CR26 which consists of a circlet of stars with a chain of doubles strung along toward the upper right is superimposed on one of the brighter sections of the much larger IC1805 complex. Star colors range from white through oranges and deeper reds, somewhat exaggerated by the Red luminance frame.
