The Rosette Nebula in Monoceos
with NEXUS coma corrector
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph @ f/2.9
Uploaded 12/29/23

This week we would like to share with you another inspiring image taken with our Newtonian astrograph and the incredible Nexus coma corrector. This field covers a whopping 2.3 degrees, and fully covers the large size of the entire Rosette Nebula. Comparisons to the shot I took last year with my Stellarvue 80mm astrograph which has mearly the same field, shows a tremendous increase in the resolution of the dark veins and wispy Herbig-Haro object inside the hole. This G2V calibrated image not only shows the correct star colors, but the beautiful pinks and reds of the nebulosity as well. Thanks for looking!
