The two red globular
clusters in this image located near the stinger in scorpius are
extremely dust reddened. So much so that it is nearly impossible
to see them visually, even with a huge amateur telescope. Most
of thier light in fact is in the infrared. This image wich captures
two of these distant globulars shows Pismis 26 on the top which
is more enlongated, and NGC6380 at the bottom which is rounder
and more condensed. A beautiful octopus shaped dark nebula is
just to its left.
