M53 & NGC5053 Globular Cluster Duo
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph
Uploaded 4/13/23
This
enchanting pair of globular clusters in Coma Bernices are just
far enough apart that I was not able to get them both in one
shot with the ten inch in the past, but with the new larger chip
of the Atik camera they fit fine. M53 is much brighter at magnitude
9 than NGC5053 which is a much dimmer magnutude 10, and is a
bit larger. The field here is almost two degrees across, and
the background is filled with scores of faint galaxies. | |
