M45 The Plieades star cluster and nebulosity in Taurus
with NEXUS coma corrector
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph @ f/2.9
Uploaded 12/20/23
Here
is our latest new image to share with you this week, the M45
cluster and its associated nebulosity taken with a revalutionary
new product for our fast newtonian astrographs - the Starizona
0.75x Nexus coma corrector. This not only produces razor sharp
stars to the corners on my large format CCD chip, but changes
the speed of our 10 inch f/3.9 astrograph to f/2.9 and increases
the field coverage to 2.33 degrees! We have now imaged about
half a dozen targets using this new corrector and so far, all
the images are truly mindblowing. Stay tuned for more to come.
