M4 and NGC6144
Globular cluster pair in Scorpius
Uploaded 5/29/25

This carefully composed image highlights the closest known globular cluster to Earth - M4 resting in a dark dusty void in the Milky Way. Notice that it is composed of blue and golden supergiants. To the upper left we find the smaller cluster NGC6144 immersed in the golden dust of LBN1103 - the Antares Nebula.
