Leo I Dwarf Local Group Galaxy just north of Regulus
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph @ f/2.9
Uploaded 4/18/24

Another sharp image with the Nexus coma corrector, this shot includes the brilliant blue star Regulus in the center and due north the dwarf galaxy Leo I. There was some haze on a few nights so Regulus has a foggy look to it, but I left it in because of the asthetic effect. The brightest stars in Leo I are 18.5 magnitude, and Ive here it is resolved to the core. Faintest galaxies in this shot are about magnitude 22.3.
