IC405 in Auriga - The Flaming Star Nebula
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph
Uploaded 4/5/26

Here is IC405 in Auriga, the "Flaming Star" Nebula. Rich pinks and reds define this highly structured nebula, with a convoluted bluish-white reflection component in the very center. Definitely a very beautiful object. The blueish White nebula in the center is the reflection component and contrasts nicely with the pinks and reds of the emission parts.

Technical Data: 10" f/3.9 Newtonian astrograph, Atik 16200 CCD, LRGB = 12 hours total, Payson, Az.
