Abell 21 Planetary Nebula + NGC2395 Open Cluster Pair
with 10" f/3.9 Astrograph
Uploaded 2/14/26

Few are aware of the companion to the Medusa nebula in Gemini. Abell 21 has a beautiful open cluster companion, NGC2395. Here both fit nicely into the 1 degree field of my 10 inch, and form a thought provoking composition. The red ring filled with green wisps to the nebulas upper right is a bubble from a prior ejection event.

Technical Data: 10" f/3.9 Newtonian astrograph, Atik 16200 CCD, LRGB = 2.5 hours total, Payson, Az.
