The 8" f/4 Orion Astrograph

200/800mm f/4

Uploaded 4/1/10

Left: Our new instrument, inside the Birch Mesa Observatory in Payson, Arizona. The mount is an Astrophysics AP1200, and the cradle is the refurbished 8" schmidt camera cradle. On top is the Stellarvue SV80s 90mm f/4.8 - 6 astrograph. Either one can guide the other. On the focal plane is our SBIG ST10XME. Seen on this side of the cradle is an 8x50 non mirror image Amici prism finder from Orion, and on the other side is a Telrad finder.
