Spectra of Each of the Primary Spectral Classes
12.5" Newtonian and Star Analyzer
Uploaded 10/22/12
Here
is the results of my first spectroscopic project, a collection
arranged in sequence of a representitive star from each classical
class of type of star, from O to M. Underneath, the original
data is provided in two formats. The first is an instrument calibrated
response curve on the star used in the class type, followed by
a continuum normalized version to best illustrate the spectral
lines. A DMK51 from Imaging Source was used for this project,
which has an extended IR response as you can see from the Telluric
band on the right of each spectrum as a dark thick band, which
represents Earths atmospheric Oxygen superimposed on the stars
spectra. |
