The Sagittarius Star Cloud - M24

This
densely packed star field is one of the most brilliant parts
of the summer Milky Way. The entire field is filled with blue
and gold stars, with an open cluster to the right of center (CR469)
and three groups of Barnard dark nebula along the bottom. From
left to right is Barnard 92, 93, 307. This is a 15 minute integration
with the 8" f/3.9 Orion Astrograph up in Happy Jack. |
