VDB38 Region
Emission / Reflection in Orion

One of the most spectaular and neglected regions in the constellation of Orion is seen here, centered on the virtually unknown VDB38 - a composite nebula of both dust and gas. The monsterous hydrogen cloud on the left side is the Lambda Orionis Bubble, an illuminated portion of the even bigger Orion Molecular cloud which covers all of Orion.

Technical Data: Samyang 135mm f/2, ASI2600mm + IDAS NBZ filter, RGB = 2 hours total, Happy Jack, Az.
