Cygnus Superbubble Complex Super Nova Remnant

Here we see a very complex field in the constellation of Cygnus, the Swan. The pink and red wisps all over the field is hydrogen gas blown into bubbles by the hot blue stars in the neighborhood. And as a bonus, the blueish ring you can see faintly here is the remains of a star which exploded in a Supernova tens of thousands of years ago. This is a 4 hour exposure from Happy Jack with an 11 inch telescope.

Cygnus Super Bubble Arcs SNR: G65.3+5.7

One of the most exciting fields of nebulosity in Cygnus is the "Cygnus SuperBubble Complex. These arcs of hydrogen nebulosity are parts of a huge complex of bubbles blown in the molecular clouds here by numerous hot blue stars. As an added bonus, the big blueish ring is the supernova remnant G65.3+5.7 and while faint, has some incredibly fine details. I must add that it was a pretty dark and transparent night considering all the fire smoke that has been plagueing us lately, with a zenithal SQM of 21.8.
