Emission nebula in Cygnus
Uploaded 10/24/24

Surrounding the hot supergiant 68 Cygni, this dim emission nebula in Cygnus is so faint, it was hardly recorded at all in the RGB data. It was only with the addition of an extra hour with the IDAS NBZ-II filter that its true extent could be seen. The entire field is filled with structured emission, with linear streaks across its entirety. As an added bonus, gorgeous dark Bok globules splash across its southern end. An incredible field for sure!
