The Iris Nebula in Cepheus
Stellarvue SV80 f/6 Astrograph
Uploaded 11/24/23

Here is another new target to share with you from our dark high altitude observatory in Happy Jack Arizona. This is a 2.5 hour exposure with an 80mm f/4.7 Stellarvue astrograph and shows the surrounding yellowish illumated dust in this area. Something to think about, the Iris nebula as it is called is 6 light years across - some 36 trillion miles in size. We are indeed space dust by comparison. Tech data: 80mm f/6 + 0.8x televue coma corrector, ASI071mc pro CMOS, 2.5h total integration time.
