NGC6823 in Vulpecula
Emission nebula + Open Cluster near M27

This
amazing nebulosity lies within 10 degrees of the more famous
Dumbell Nebula, and consists of a bright open cluster of 7th
magnitude that covers 12 arcminutes. Surrounding this nice cluster
is the emission nebula Sharpless 2-86. Beautiful dark dust lanes,
and Bok globules are contained in this object making for a very
active field. |
