NGC1555
Molecular Cloud in Taurus
Uploaded 3/14/26

With the primary instrument recording higher resolution close ups of NGC1555, the 135mm f/2 Samyang was capturing the wide field context view simultaneously. A good framing locator is Aldebaran at the bottom with the enigmatic Sh2-139 above. This will also make a good future target. At top LDN1536 is seen as a dusty molecular cloud only illuminated by the distant stars. Curiously, some red hydrogen seems to exist near Aldebaran.
