Nearby Spiral Galaxy
Uploaded 9/18/25

A deep exposure of the Andromeda Galaxy on a very dark night at atlitude, near the zenith, and with a fast lens. Not only can you see the star sprays on the ends of the spiral arms from the interaction with the companion elliptical galaxies, but the entire field is filled with faint galactic cirrus. Even a hint of red hydrogen is just to the left of the galaxy in this image.
